Your dog doesn’t have to be old — or visibly limping — for early joint changes to already be there. Dogs are good at hiding discomfort when it develops gradually.
Worth mentioning to your vet even if it seems minor: hesitation before jumping, stiffness after rest, a shorter stride, less enthusiasm for usual activities. This is awareness, not a self-diagnosis tool.
